.015 valve clearance... issue ?
So im starting my valve adjustment, the car is cooling down and i checked a few, a lot were .012 .013, 2 was .015 on the exhaust side, can't see any cracked retainers, can't also see any sunken valves... but is that really high ?
it's a 00 with 117 on it, just did an oil change this morning

i let it sit over night, gonna start it around 10am, exhaust .010, screw it down, tourqe it, pull the gauge out with pliars, check clearance, turn the crank.. etc

You shouldn't need to pull the gauge out with pliers. The gauge should encounter resistance, but easily be removed by hand. If you have to yank out the .010 gauge, your clearance is below .010.

well i'm gonna redo them all and use the go, no go method, i see that the tighter the lock nut is the less the set screw moves.. so its just getting use to how that works.. on a side note, i cleaned my ivac by taking it off, and then using some qtips to clean the middle chamber..
now after about 20 minutes of driving it shudders and won't rev past 2500/3000.... could i have gotten air in the system ?
also.. letting it sit overnight, in new england, if the temp is really low, would that cause any clearance issues.. ?
