yea, minus a bad idle at times, would just shut off at redlights, or drop to 200-300 rpms, then fix itself

Have you reset the rockers yet?? Sounds to me that you just got the gap clearance all out of whack.

mine was starting to run a bit rough today to I set the rockers now shes purring like a kitten. I did 0.008 Intake & 0.010 on the Exhaust. Just set the screw where the feeler gauge is snug but movable, then while holding the screw in place with the screw driver tighten the nut with a 10mm wrench, then use a torque wrench @ 14lbs on them, you may have to do this a few times to some of them to get the correct gap, and all ways check the gap clearance after torquing them

and I am assuming you did bring each cylinder up to TDC, and if you bring it up on TDC and all the rockers have no gap on that particular cylinder then your on the wrong stroke, so make one more full cycle back to TDC and that will be the correct stroke, and the rockers should have some sort of gap clearance.
Hope this help

Oh BTW I would only spray Electrical cleaner on any thing electronic. It is non conductive and safe, Carb cleaner can melt some plastic

update, 3am, back from my garage.. it wasn't the ivac or the valve lash, it was a ****ing tdc sensor not plugged in.. doh..

did the full valve lash all around, big big difference, car opens up more, purrs nicely,

i'm happy.
