Default 02-03 ECU in 00-01 S2K????????

I was wondering....can the ECU's be switched as easy as swapping batteries? And to get the same gains is there any else that needs to be done other then switching the too???? Please help.

After you switch ecu's your keys won't work. Its a basic swap job but I think you have to have the dealer reprogram it so it will accept the chip in your keys.

MaxGeek is correct. The keys will have to be reprogramed. Other than that it's plug n' play.

No the ECU's will have to be reprogramed. If i understand correctly you car should start but it will go into limp mode. You the need to head straight to a dealer where they will reprogram the ECU to correctly accept the key u have. But when i looked into doing it there were gonna charge quite a bit to do it.

limp mode will not let your car rev past 3k.

and if the car will start, then that defeats the purpose of having an immobilizer.

hmmm....after they reprogram my keys to work with the ecu...will my keys work with my old ecu anymore? in other words...do they program the keys to match the ecu or the ecu to match the keys...
