It's a combination of things that fix the idle, it's never just one thing. Although there can be a main culprit.

Hey, I was wondering if the shaft in the iacv have to be positioned right with the motor for it to work properly? seems like you can get it backwards becuase the notches in the motor seems like theyre identical. or it doesnt matter? Is the magnet suppose to be up or down?

Update. I got my valves adjusted, replaced plugs, swapped iacv with a known good one, guess what its still happening! Idle got better it would only stall sometimes but the idle still drops very low. I also get the kangaroo 1st gear hesitation. Did a compression test and got 220, 220, 200, 200. Cylinder 3 though had fluntuation of initial crank of 60-80psi but the rest were consistent at 80psi.My mechanics guess was worn a valve guide. Im still going to swap injectors and see if that does anything. FML

You burning oil, on hard deceleration? Not sure how worn guides leads to stalls or stutters.

well yea its an S2000 AP1 it burns oil xD Not excessive though and no blue smoke. in Vtec and track/hard driving it does but i believe thats normal for s2ks. The worn valve guide could cause the valve to move and not sit properly and giving me fluctuation in compression and causing my idle to stall .

Seems like you've done everything we would have suggested you do.

Can you confirm HOW exactly you reset the ECU? Did you do the entire idle re-learn process afterwards, without touching the gas?

Here's the right way to do it:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...&f=22&t=549159

Pay attention to the last step, and "DO NOT give the car gas, as it makes it more difficult for the ECU to 'relearn'"

Confirm?

The battery was disconnected from doing the valve adjustment, compression test and plugs changed. Started the car and left it on for 15 minutes till the car is fully warmed up at 3 bars.

going to try taking the fuse out. It didnt ask for waiting till the fan turns on though so guess when the car is warmed up it should be ready

okay so i just did the idle relearn again taking the 7.5a out for 2 minutes and put it back in. started the car untill its warmped up at 3 bars. left the car on for at least 15 minutes and gave it a few revs. Still stalls. if i dont touch the gas it idles "okay" with the shaky vibration. Also got a poof after revs and dies. Going to swap the injectors and see what happens
FML.
