im curios i have to replace my 02 senser for my 2001 s2000, could i use a 04-05 o2 sensor instead?
i got a good deal on a new ntk 02 sensor ($90) pre-cat

Don't have an answer on that for you, but the Bosch universals are a piece of cake and cost about $55. You have to splice the old harness on, but it the splice hardware comes with and takes about 10 minutes to do.

I don't have an answer either, but I was curious as to what would alert you to replace the 02 sensor ?, do you get a CEL ?. I have an 02 and was wondering if mine will have to be replaced, my car was at the very limit for hydrocarbons on a recent emmissions test. I've swapped a few parts but if they don't work then I might have to look at the o2 sensors next.

i got a cel light. and i tested the o2 sensor in shop class and there was no signal.
