Default 04' headlight conversion please teach me how to...

I'm getting a pair of 04' headlights real soon and I did a bunch of searches only to find that most diy threads for the 04's are for the front bumper. I'm interested in a thread that'll teach me how to do it myself, "04' headlight conversion" from my 02' It sounds pretty easy but want to hear from ones that have done it thanks

I dont wait hooked me up with the how too along with Ben over at AJ Racing. Anyway it took a few hours but it came out great. The main issue with this project is fabricating brackets to hold the square ballast onto the circle (04) headlamp. You also need a dremel to pear down the opening at the bottom of the 04 headlamp. The 00-03 wiring and such will not directly fit into the 04 headlamp. Thats why you need to cut it down a bit. The other lights will fit perfectly. The last thing I did was adjust them to my liking which was a bit lower than stock so I wont blind other drivers anymore. I used to have 01 JDMs and always blinded people. These are much better. Anyway PM me or PM I dont wait if you run into problems. Good luck...

yeah I think the hardest part was tryin to fabricate a bracket. Took us forever to get something to work right. My advice if you have the money, is for you to just buy the 04 ballasts from hardtopguy. I think you can get them for $130 a pop. After you get that, everything should bolt up pretty nicely.

if you cut the 04 housing so that the pre 04 connector can fit through, did you have to silicon up the hole afterwards to prevent water from getting in?

I didn't want to rig my car after all the money I've spent, so I went ahead and purchased the ballasts along with the lamp assemblies from Hardtopguy. Glad I did.

And since I didn't need the lights right away, I had the inserts painted to match.
