okay, first off i have 07 ap2 blew the rods, and bearings. i can't find any ap2 engines that i can afford, i was advised that the bottom ap1 and my ap2 head will work on my car. the difference between the ap1 and ap2 is that the ap2 just have a longer stroke right ??? now will this combination will work on my ap2 car..?? will my ap2 ecu, transmission , work on the bottom ap1 2.0 ?? please help ...!! i am boosting with greddy kit so i will put 2 1/2 " head gasket . will it work ???

 

MY06+ has DBW, i think the heads are slightly different from other ap2

 

AP1 engine revving to 8k would not be fun! Also you should not get a thicker head gasket with a greddy kit. Those make sub 300 hp usually so no where near needing a head gasket!
