100 Octane
yes it's safe.
however, i would not be using it unless you were running at the track or something. our cars have an almost paranoid sense of knocking and tend to pull timing on even a stock S2000 on 93 octane gas. a few horsepower could possibly be gained just by using high octane fuel.
but again, if you're not running it at the track, don't waste your money for a "couple" extra horses.

Remember, guys. If he is in Europe, he is talking 100 Research Octane, not R+M/2 like us. He is probably talking 94 to 95 in our system but I am guessing on that one. Can you folks outside North America chime in?

The rice gas here in cali is dangerous. Even at 76 it still contains MTBE which poisons the ground water.
That being said, there were some interesting observations. Runs done at nite under similar conditions, 4th gear pull, logging from ODB2 output.
91 octane ---> 29-30 degrees timing
100 octane ---> 27-28 degrees timing
very interesting indeed.

Should have keyed in on this. He should have been better to post this question up in the European forum instead of here (which is mainly N. American type of octane rating).
