Default 15000 Miles Service

I got 15500 Miles on my 06 S2000. I stop by the dealer and asked much is it to service the car. There told me $200 but that i dont have to do it til 100000Miles . They show me an invoice on an 07 and its saids Frist Service is at 100000 Miles/1year. Is this right i mean i'm used to cars having service every 15000 miles. I still want to do it anyways cause i want to take care of the car and keep forever. But my dad is being cheap and said that if honda said 100000miles then we going to do it at 100000miles. Also i have been doing oil change ever 3000 miles with Modil 1 the dealer said that ok but its ok to wait 5000 miles to do it.

So i should do my way or "honda" way.

Most people dont even keep cars to 100,000 miles. Take a look in the owners manual. . .pretty sure the first "service" is supposed to be at 15,000 miles if not before.

Yeah, always perform mileage services at the correct mileage - no surprise you got bad info from a dealership - they are generally clueless unless you have a Civic, then they are only marginally clueless.

Most of the 15k service is visual inspections, and the brakes are likely fine at 15k. Just see what the manual says, look at the stuff listed, and sign off your book.

5k miles between oil changes is the minimum interval for oil imo - 5-6k is fine, especially for M1.
