Default 15k mile Service

Ok so im coming up on the Big 15k mark. I am considering taking the car in for 15k service. I guess the question is what should be done to the car. What should not be done to the car. Should i have the valves adjusted? And what kind of $ are we talking about here? Thanks for the input. Angel

Go under the FAQS section of this site to get a listing of what should be done. I just got my 15000 K service done today. I asked about the valve adjustment and they checked it out and didn't think I needed to get it done. When I get my TSB done for my clutch, I'll get them adjusted. As for the service, it cost me $90 and took a couple of hours.

I just got mine 15K done and I'd definitely get the valves checked/adjusted if you run it hard.
A lot of S2K's seem to have been shipped with bad valve adjustment, let alone if you run it up to 9K a lot.
Red Blur, I'd bet yours are off a bit too, I KNOW how you guys drive!
It's less than $150 and it really helped my idle. They said most of my intake valves were out of spec and some of the exhaust.

I wish I would of Venom. I might take it to your dealership to get the valves adjusted. How long did it take and who do you deal with?

Thanks,

P.S Just installed my Spoon Header!!! Sweet!

Red Blur,
If you want to bring it down, call Scott Bunker at Honda Cars of Bradenton, 941 752 2125 is his direct extension, he'll take care of you. Call a few days ahead of time, they have to order the valve cover gaskets.
Problem with valve adjustment is that it takes the better part of a day because the head needs to be cool first.
They learned a valuable lesson on my car though- they have a fan they set on the motor to cool it, BUT they set it on the valve cover! made 2 nice little 3/4" scratches through the red powder coat, but when I came to pick up the car, he told me about it up front and had already ordered new valve cover. I can forgive little oopses when they are dealt with properly.
These guys are also really cool about mods.

How was the header install?
was it a big pain in the rump?
can you feel any difference?

I've been thinking about doing a header, but I was wondering if it actually made any difference.
rumor is HKS has a twin turbo set up in the works...
