Maybe it's just me but it seems like 1st and 2nd gears are making different noises than they used to. I have a 2000 s2k w/ 6800mls and the other day after a long day of racing around the city I noticed a difference. They sound like they're winding up, much like if you back up quickly in reverse. 3rd-6th are noticeably smoother sounding. Any ideas? I did a search but found nada.

Okay...so I guess no one knows??? Can any one tell me if their first two gears sound differently than the rest???

TAKE IT IN! Its not normal!

I had 1st and 2nd gear replaced along with my clutch and synchro!

I know the noise you are describing. I get it sometimes also...I don't think anything is wrong bud...

 

I'd have to disagree! I got it all fixed...

My baby has never run better! Trust me! Take it in and get it fixed while its under warranty! It might bite you in the butt!
