Sure, the '08 CR come with a sequential shift automatic .

Always park in gear. There is no way it can hurt anything in the transmission, and it just might prevent unwanted movement of your car.

ALWAYS leave it in 1st or reverse. Make it a habit! My neighbor next door with a civic has rolled down the driveway TWICE now because he didnt leave his car in gear.

I always let the parking break hold the car and use the transmission as a back up. Meaning parking break first then first or reverse. Should the car be put in gear then the parking break, to me that would but unneeded stress on the gears in the transmission.

i put it in 2nd instead of 1st. this way when someone else gets in and starts it without checking for neutral, the car wont lunge as bad and stalls easier, preventing any possible damage to nearby property.

Always leave it in gear as described by the owners manual. If the gears can handle accelerating the car from 0-60 in under 5 seconds, it can handle the car's weight.

Always in 1st gear when the car is parked on an uphill.
Reverse on a downhill.
