Default 2002 Engine Revs in Gear

So whenever I'm driving in any gear other than 1st (from what Ive noticed so far), I start to accelerate and my rpms will at first rise normally with the increasing speed, but then it will rev up about 1k-2k rpms and then drop back down to normal. Im not touching the clutch, and it's not while shifting or due to human error. Whenever it does spike up while accelerating, I do not hear anything that would sound like the clutch slipping or gears grinding. It drops back down to normal without me having to let off the gas, but does this almost any time I try to accelerate. Please help! My car is performancly Handicap until I solve this!

Also! It happens while I am driving at 3,000-5,000 rpms and has not yet happened above 6,000 rpms.

Engine is revving with no increase in speed? Sounds like clutch disc is worn.
