I recently did some work on my 2006 AP2 S2000 and when jacking up the engine I accidentally broke the camshaft position sensor connector on the engine harness. The sensor itself is fine, but the connector is broken. I cannot find a connector anywhere that says it will fit, and I cannot reference what my connector is supposed to look like because it broke into literally like 50 different pieces. All I do know is it is NOT the 2 pin one that I see on eBay because the 2006 AP2 connectors have 3 wires going into it.
I know this site cycleterminal.com is referenced often but I cannot find on this site which exact connector I need. If anybody can link me to a connector that will work for my car, either from cycle terminal or any other place please let me know!
Maybe silver solder wires for now and tape it
re read so maybe not..
Question, if you don't mind --- why silver solder? I've always used Kester Sn/Pb for all all electrical work. Cars, audio amps, guitar amps, guitars, slot cars... whatever.
Never have been an issue, as long as the solder is done correctly. In my experience, you need hotter tips with silver and that can lead to damage to the surrounding parts.
FWIW... I've used a Weller and Hakko solder iron station, for decades. What do you use for silver soldering?
Compared some pictures I got on my computer and it looks like Female HV040-3 Tr should be the correct one.
It says "Honda/Acura ignition coil connector" on cycleterminals though so not sure, should be easy to check fitment, just don't turn on ignition.
