About 2 weeks ago i bought my new 2006 s2k and now im having troubles with 3rd and 5th gear. its a little harder to shift into 3rd and 5th gear. and when i do shift it into gear, i feel like its scratching up against something...has anyone had this problem with their 2k?

since both of those shift lever throws are similar, try changing the way you're holding your knob and see if that helps. sounds gay but see if its your shifting technique before assuming its the tranny.

Usually 3rd and 5th gear are easy. First and second are a little tight when cold.

Try slowing the gear change down slightly. You might be too quick for the delay valve in the clutch cylinder.

Also take it back to the dealer and at least register the problem with them now encase it gets worse!

One other thing get some one else to drive (other than dealer) and see if they can spot it

same. plus i also get the 1st gear clunk.

sometimes i'll grind 2nd when the car is cold, but that has to do with driver error (me being lazy and not pushing the clutch all the way down.)

2nd and 3rd are always notchy for me when it's cold.. but after switching the tranny fluid to synchromesh it's much better, and becomes buttery smooth once the tranny is warm
