So if you put aftermarket rims on an 08 you can't turn off VSA? That is lame.

you just have to keep the sensors thats all. That IF you can get them to work on your aftermarket wheels

the tpms sensors should work with any wheel. If you pull them off your stock tires and put them on aftermarket tires just make sure they go in the same place for example the LF sensor needs to go back on the LF. If you dont keep them in the same place your tpms indicator will illuminate and you will need to return to the dealership to get your sensors re-initialized. Tpms sensors are required by law on all new vehicles from 07 on. If you want to learn more research the tread act.

^ I don't think the TPMS is required until 2010.

2007 was the year when ALL cars had to come with TPMS. Atleast in the U.S.

^ Yeah, it looks like it was effective since Sep. 1st 2007.
My bad. I was misinformed.

I think TPMS only became standard in MY08 S's. I sure hope you can just swap them in on the new valve stem if you get a diff set of wheels. You know what wheel whores we can be
