i think those little tin cylinder spheres(tornado?) you can put in your air duct help out a little but....pumping up your tires close to 40 psi helps to.

How can you only "Vtec" 3-4 times a week?! You're insulting the poor car, give it some gas!

The tornado is completely worthless for increasing mileage and actually restricts airflow under laboratory testing. Increase pressure will aid mileage, slightly.

Your mileage is normal - my car has averaged 24.6 mpg over 21,600 miles.

You guys in the mid 20's in mixed driving are not driving your cars hard enough.

I average less than 20mpg in mixed city/highway driving and am damn proud of it.

Seriously though, on one lazy highway trip I almost got 28mpg, so I know my car has it in her, but I'd rather hear that VTEC wail.

22 to 24 around town is normal. 26 to 28 highway is normal. 30 is not uncommon for 100% Interstate driving, depending on conditions.
Same here. I get 30+ on the highway.

after looking at the thread i feel like my car is eating up too much gas with the way i drive. I get on average 250 miles per tank about 11.x gallons every fill up. Out of the 250 miles, 200 is about highway and 50 is city. I vtec maybe once a week, and shift at 4k rpm. Should I be expecting more mpg with the way i drive? What could i look into?
