after looking at the thread i feel like my car is eating up too much gas with the way i drive. I get on average 250 miles per tank about 11.x gallons every fill up. Out of the 250 miles, 200 is about highway and 50 is city. I vtec maybe once a week, and shift at 4k rpm. Should I be expecting more mpg with the way i drive? What could i look into?
I'm lucky to get just over 200 miles per 11.x gallon fillup, so I would say you are doing quite fine.

I think its pretty bad considering you ONLY vtec 3-4 times a week,
i vtec around 3-4 times per every minute or so but still manage to suck 19ish mpg My car hardly sees under 4000rpm.

And here's my question, how the hell can you calm yourself down to do only 3-4 vtec a week?

Maybe I need to drive my car like its MINE.

it's reasonable..
i get about 25-27 normally, but that's mostly freeway driving (70-75).
so i get above 300+ miles to the tank.

normal street driving.. it's around where you are.

250/11 = 22.7 mpg. That's certainly well within the normal range for the car. Why not set up a spreadsheet on gasoline usage and miles driven? Do that, and then you'll really know.

i get just around 260 gallons per tank too. Its always so deceiving when the first half of the tank i get around 160 miles and the second half of the tank goes down so fast. but 22mpg sounds fine
