Why not try swapping a diff from a supra or some sort?

the 240sx housing should be able to handle the power
if the lsd stuff up you can order so many after market parts, from nismo, kaaz, trust etc etc to upgrade and it will definitely hold more than 600hp, I know a trust lsd one that could hold 900hp so far

Finally, been waiting for this post to arise

I was looking for a diff to withstand launching abuse, I was thinking about this option too but do not have the knowledge on diffs.

If you were to do the 240sx diff, use the nismo one as it's very cheap and can hold significant power with OEM quality manufacturing. The R33 skyline diff is totally impractical for the people in the US.

The MKIV supra diff is just a bad idea. If you've ever seen one, they're incredibly huge (and heavy) and it'd require more work than other housings which can hold the same load.

The 04 diff definately wont hold the 500whp though fperra. The OEM diff wasn't enough for stock power so 20% strengthening doesn't really mean much.

Well, hopefully, with Rick's Richmond gears and cryo treating (diffy case and gearset) it will be enough to hold up for a while. I'll get the 240 SX as a backup, and maybe in the meantime someone will come up with an adapter kit for it.
