Has anyone else notice that they shift early?

I have a new MY2002 with the "improved" tranny and I got a grind or two going from first to second today. I finally figured out that I was shifting before the clutch was fully engaged. I imagine this was due to the short throw and my desire for a quick shift.

I'll bet that if I don't correct this habit I'm gonna wear my tranny fast . . .

now I know my 02 still have that problem....

I already make a habit that make sure shift with the clutch fully engaged when I was driving my old 00 S2000.

 

i have an 01 and never had a grind problem.. i always shift at 9k from 1-2 very quickly and never ran into this problem.
