For the diff.you should use redline 75W90 gear oil GL-5.
I use Redline MT-90 in my tranny, and I love it,no more grind, and smooth as butter.

nice. one more question. I have the Helm, but I want to hear from those who changed theirs - how much fluid did you use to re-fill the tranny and diff?

I tried the 50/50 mix of MTL and MT-90, and it didn't work well for long. I wasn't getting much 2nd gear grinding, but it didn't shift very smoothly. I switched back to straight MT-90, and it is much better.

MT-90 is NOT the right choice for the differential.

I didn't mean to imply that Redline MT-90 is just not the "best" oil for the diff. It is not the right type of oil. It is a transmission oil, not a gear oil. The differential requires a GL-5 or GL-6 gear oil like Redline or Mobil 1 75W-90.

If you live in a hot climate or track your car then the straight MT-90 is better.
My experience with MT-90 in my NSX was that it would have a pretty difficult time shifting first thing in the morning, making the first casual shift into second gear always grind, which is why I'm trying the blend first. If by the next oil change the S2000 is grinding again then I'll use full MT-90.
