Default 2ndary air pump

I was wondering if anyone knew the flow rate of the secondary air pump. I tried the search function to be no help. I just wanted to know how CFM the air pump flows. I also was unable to find it in my honda service manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Secondairy air pump?
Do "we" have 2 air pumps, as in a primairy & secondairy?
Or is the engine the primairy air pump?

Can't help you with the CFM question.
Sorry.
Why do you want to know?

I can't help with the flow specifications on the pump either. But I believe it's called a secondary air pump because it injects air into the exhaust manifold. Any unburned hydrocarbons then get enough oxygen to burn off in the manifold. So the manifold becomes a "secondary" combustion chamber. So yes, the engine is the primary air pump.

Its the little air pump under the front bumper on the driver side.

You would probably all laugh if i told you what i was using it for, but long story short.

I have a mini-bike project and a 5.5HP motor and wanted to see if the flow of the air pump would over come the flow of the carb on the motor to essentially make an electric supercharger.

I ordered one from a fellow member for 30 bucks. I am going to attempt to repair the housing and use it for this project.

I figured I might have a chance with the air pump having a higher flow than my motor considering its intended application. I know its wierd but hey it was a free mini-bike and a 30 dollar fan lol

Honda doesn't publish flow rates of the air pump. You'll need a lot of battery power to drive the pump though, It draws almost 60 amps at start up.
