at around 35-40 mph only there is an oscillating droning noise that seems to be eminating from the wheels. It is not tire noise. Do you guys think it could be my wheel bearings? My friend had an old prelude that used to make this noise but at 55mph and it turned out to be his rear wheel bearings. Any input would be aprreciated.

Is the sound coming from the front wheels? Or the rear?
If the rear, it could be bearing or diff as stated.
If the front, probably a bearing.
If front, usually the driver side goes first (that is the cloverleaf bearing as I call it!)
Grab a hold of your tires at 10 & 2 (like hands on the steering wheel)... shake your tire. If you hear a clunk... it is most likely the wheel bearing.

the sounds seems to be coming from the front of the wheel. I'll try the test out this weekend. Thanks.
Also, is this something covered under warranty?

a noise coming from the wheels (plural), or wheel? Oscillating noise from front wheel screams wheel bearing to me. It can best be described as a "wub wub wub"
To diagnose: stick the car in neutral then coast and see if the noise persists. The noise may become louder when turning in the direction away from the bearing at fault.. i.e. the right bearing will make more noise during a left turn because its taking more load.
