3rd gear
UPDATE: My clutch recently went out on the S2, so I had my guy get the new clutch kit and fly wheel. With the new clutch, fly wheel and slave cylinder, the car is no longer grinding going into 3rd. It's smooth as butter, like it should be. Thank for all your input!!
Good for you, you should tell the local S2000 owners who "my guy" is: he did a good job.Because... just those 3 new parts you mentioned DO NOT!! guarantee your result.
There is some skill involved to do it right so you get it right.
One of those skills is following the workshop manual.
Have fun shifting!

Sounds like what everyone else is saying. your pushing in a diagnal motion not the proper H. If this trans was like the old mucie 4-speeds you would be on the side of the road locked into 1st and 3rd gear..... car doesnt go anywhere then....any old motor heads done that before?

I recently had to take it to 3 different shops to get an inspection sticker because nobody can drive a column shift.
You are right. That '52 was my first 3 in the tree. Once I figured out exactly what to do with the shifter, it never stuck again. I believe this is what's going on with today's drivers who have never driven a short throw, close gated, 6-speed manual tranny. They "think" they know how to work it, but do they really?

Ive never driven a column shift but my weekend car is a 72' pontiac firebird 455 4-speed, and before i rebuilt and adjusted the Herst linkage it would lock up if I got a little over anxious going from light to light
