2nd gear to 3rd gear
I have a preowned 2006 s2000, and this is the first manual car I ever driven.
I seem to have unsmoothen transistion shifting from second gear to third gear, would that be something wrong with my driving style or would that be somethign wrong with the transmission?
I'm really worried can anyone please shed some light?
Thanks.

Are you feeling a sudden jerk when you shift?
if this is so, then you will have to get used to the clutch and gas balance to smooth it out.
If you are talking about a notch notch in the shifter, then that's normal.
What i noticed is once the tranny fluid warms up, the shifts are like butter.
What I do during cold mornings is I shift at 4000rpm instead of 3000 to help warm up the tranny fluid.
See if this helps. If the problem persists, then just switch to honda manual trans fluid. 2 bottles for $30

it's common from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd and varies... do some searches for "notchy" transmission and you will find a ton of threads
it's simply a characteristic of the s2000 transmission... as it warms up it will get better, and as 604toaster said, you could always do a fluid change to honda's newest MTF formula (it helped in mine)
