Default 4.57 gears installed

Finally installed my rear with the comptech diff, gears and kaaz LSD

I didnt notice any changes as I of course did not step on the gas hard.

I had to do the tedious figure 8 break in procedure for the LSD unit.

My question is for those that have the Kaaz LSD unit:

1. did you still get chatter when taking turns at lets say 4MPH even after the 1/2 hour break in procedure?

2. My LSD hums a little bit when turning, anyone elses? Im assuming this is normal clutch noise...???

3. Did the chatter go away later? and how many miles after?

I find the chatter to be annoying specially when driving around the neighborhood

Yes, I did the full 1/2 hour break-in and then some and it still chatters. I read somewhere that, tight, low-speed turns will cause chatter and is normal operation.

It is definetly louder than stock!

3. Did the chatter go away later? and how many miles after?

Yes and No. It chatters (I'm not sure if chatter is the right term for this), but it kind of makes a grinding noise whenever I first start going.. maybe the first 2-3 minutes it will do this until the unit heats up and then its fine the rest of the time. I don't have many miles on mine though, maybe 500-1000 miles on it. I've had it on there for 5-6 months but obviously I don't drive much.

exactly, its more of a grinding noise, maybe like a clunk clunk sorta like if i remember correctly. I guess ill have to live with that. I know I was going to have some chatter but I didnt think it would be to that magnitude. Should have probably gotten a spool cause if feels kinda like it.
well thanks for your response, defenitely helped me determine if my LSD is working correctly

I think some gear oils will improve on the chatter. Try a search.

The clutch wouldn't have anything to do with the LSD sound right?

I like the LSD Specially when it engages when its not suppose to.
