Default 60K maintenance that I can do myself

Going to sell my baby
But I need to move away from the highest crime rate neighborhood in San Francisco, so I'll have to sell my loved one to do so.

Its at 55K miles, and the maintenance light is on. I found this page http://www.photoslave.com/journal/auto/s2000_maint.html
that lists what kind of maintenance should be done.

I changed the air filter, the oil, and checked the spark plugs with the help of a friend who works on his own car (but not honda) about 2K miles ago. I downloaded the pdf repair manual & wnat to try to figure out what I can maybe do myself rather than paying the Honda Dealership $600 for.

MOst of the things listed there dont SOUND difficult, but doing them could be a challenge.

Any suggestions on the easier stuff that I may be able to do?

Engine Oil Changes - done
Air Filter - done
Spark Plugs - done
PCV Valve
Rear Diff Oil Change
Transmission Oil Change
Brake Fluid Flush
Cooling System Flush
Clutch - Master & Slave cylinders replace
Valve Adjustment

On a side note - is it worth it to get new high performance tires to maybe sell it for more $? I have shitty back tires. New, but shitty.

Is this listed as a 60k mile maintenance item?

tranny and dif fluid are not too difficult. A friend and myself learned how to do it the same day we did it on my car. Can get a little messy but definitely not hard!

First of all, that maintenance light doesn't necessarily mean anything. It comes on about 7500 miles after the last time it was reset. There is NO 55,000 mile service. There IS a 60K miles service.
That link you put up looks like some owner's private maintenance log and is not reflective of what was supposed to happen.
Also, that list you put up does NOT reflect what the "real" items are for the 60K mile service. I don't know where you got this list from, but you can save yourself a lot of grief (but to the benefit of the next owner) if you get the "real" list.

Thanks afwfjustin - I'll check those out first.

I found the maintenace items & mileage in the repair manual - yeah a little different - they all SOUND easy...maybe some are harder to get to? I dont think I need to pay $600 for this...

replace air conditioning filter
tire inflation
inspect tie-rod ends, steering gearbox & boots
inspect suspension components
inspect driveshaft boots
inspect brake hoses & lines
inspect all fluid levels & condition of fluid
inspect cooling system
inspect exhaust
inspect fuel lines

H&A is a good place to buy oem stuff. A local dealer wanted $35 plus tax for that cabin filter.

Based on all of the bullshit I have been through with dealerships over the years (i.e., the "technician" I caught joyriding my S), I often wonder how much of those services are actually performed.
