Default Abnormal Bucking/Jerking under Partial Throttle

Lately my car's been bucking/jerking under abrupt changes in throttle position. It's a bit like driving around in 1st gear, but you're actually in 4th.

My friend has an S2000 as well and I drove both cars back to back - there is definitely something wrong with mine.

Does anyone have any ideas what it would be? I suspect engine, transmission, or diff mounts possibly having failed - could all of these produce this symptom, and how can I figure out whether they've blown, is a visual inspection enough?

Note: I have the updated MAP sensor so that isn't the issue.

I should also mention that I'm getting quite a bit more wheel hop that I used to as well. Not sure if it's related, but would that suggest failed diff mounts?

Do a check of the diff, tranny, and motor mounts and get back with us. Any codes?

Any updates on this issue? I drive an 06 and I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I changed the motor, tranny and front diff mounts and the issue is still there. No codes other than my high flow cat 02 sensor comes on and off frequently. any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you,

Mine was differential mounts, the rear two are hydraulic and pop easily, and the fronts tear as well. I popped one at the dragstrip a few years back, and had a torn front one. Finally fixed it and it drives much better now. You can inspect each, and the diff mounts will flex quite a bit if you push the car back and forth by the rear LCA, that way you can watch the mounts. You might not see symptoms from the rears, it is hard to see the tear, but my passenger side mount puked its brains on the subframe, which is how I noticed.

I changed the mounts thinking that was the problem but it wasn't and its getting really annoying. Since it's an 06 of course its a DBW so I changed one of the TPS sensors (the one connected to the throttle cable) and did not make a difference....
