Default ? about aftermarket intake weights

my big problem is deciding between the comptech cai or the spoon cf snorkle. i understand the ups and downs of both items, and either of the two should fit my needs. my questions is, what is the weight of the comptech compared to the stock intake box with a spoon snorkle? im trying to find out if their is a slight difference, or a reasonable amount. thanks......Frank

if one figures that approx 100 pounds of weight results in 1/10 sec diff in the quarter, the slight diffrence between one and other is insignificant. Might as well be concerned also about side to side or front to back weight distribution as well. Buy one or the other for sound, ability to go stock quickly, looks, perhaps some advantage at speed for the Spoon, and it is a draw overall, but for which you prfer the looks and serviceability of.

this is just a tough decision. everyone speaks equally about both. the prices are more expensive compared to an aem or injen, but not they dont tople the mugen or j racing intakes. mugen are j's are out of the picture completely. i like to be in the middle, and im starting to lean towards spoon because it complitments the stock intake and turns it into a cai. oh well, i guess i have more thinking to do.

The Mugen has debatable effectiveness, and for it price it should perform with no compromises. It looks great. I would read what Ultimate Lurker has posted to get a feel for this topic. UL likes the AEM V2. I went with the Spoon for the reasons i stated. UL thinks the Spoon si good, and likely produces some ram-air effect (high pressurization over ambient air) at high speed.

Again, weight was not a factor, as I do not believe it reaches an amount that rises above the "significance" floor.
