This isn't a live service center . Call a speed shop that deals with s2000s if you want a quick answer.

I'm not advertising for these guys, nor have I used them before, but http://www.thes2000shop.com/ looks like a place you can call and ask that question.

JDM engines are higher compression. 11.7:1 rather than 11:1.

They also have slightly different sensors. I wasn't aware of the VTEC oil switch but I would assume it isn't a problem. You can use the unit off your old engine. I believe they don't have a knock sensor either which will be important on a higher compression engine running on US fuel. I would guess the mounting point is there and you can use the one off your current engine.

This all assumes you have a current engine. For all I know you could be buying the engine for a project.

i have a current usdm engine, basically wat i have read on this forum so far is that they do have a knock sensor and all the sensors are the same, wiring harness is mirrored due to RHD and im in florida we have 93 and i would be usuing my USDM ecu anyhow. I seem to be getting conflicting info

Either way it doesn't matter whether they do or don't have sensors. Because you do.

The RHD/LHD thing also doesn't matter because you have a LHD harness. The engine doesn't know where you sit or on what side is the steering wheel. It's not 'mirrored'.

the harness enters the car at the opposite side since its rhd so that is what i was refering to by mirrored, prolly a poor analogy lulz ! thanks!

I realise what you mean, I just don't see it's relevance.
