Well my answer is it may or may not be cocked, but you can definitely swap them.

IIRC the JDM F20's have 2 knock sensors, because of the higher compression.
Not that it matters: your ECU will be listening for 1.

Gear change H patterns are the same - worldwide.

And what about fuel?
You'll "need" the higher RON/MON fuel, right?

what fuel do they use in japan? I never dwelled into that small detail.. figured the globe used 80-95 at most.

Japan use 100RON. Not sure what that is in AKI (what you use in the states) but it's mid to high 90s.

i have gotten conflicting info about j spec engines and the knock sensors i am prettu sure that is just the european ones which have 2 knock sensors, i will be using my USDM ECU and i have 93 where i live, and also ferraris run on 93 all day with no problems so i am assuming i will be fine. I am not buying this to have a JDM motor, i just seem to find way less mileage motors by like 50k for the same price so it seems like the most ligical thing for me to do

man, i am doing some searching and i just found a 2002 with 600miles for 3500 engine only !! and its USDM

i have the vin# but i want to do a search, do i need to buy carfax ? anyone wana do it for me lol ?
