ABS light
Hello folks
Posting this question for a friend of mine. My friend has a 2001 model approaching 80k miles. Car is stock except for an upgraded ACT clutch kit that was installed at about 45k miles.
Recently, the ABS light has been coming on after sitting for awhile. It doesn't go away until about 10 minutes of driving or so. The most peculiar part about this whole problem is that for some odd reason, the Air Conditioning doesn't seem to work at all during this whole ABS issue. Just as the ABS light goes off, the Air Conditioning Fan comes on. It has happened twice already. Coincidence???
I did a search on ABS light and came across another person that had this same problem. Also, people were suggesting that the speed sensor or the ABS sensor to be the culprit? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

For sure the A/C fan? Or possibly the engine cooling fan?
If its the engine cooling fan, I'd start looking for something like a cold solder joint in the ABS unit...
If its the a/c fan, I'd look at wiring diagrams and find out what the 2 systems have in common. Maybe they share a ground or a power supply. I'd look there.

The ABS circuit does a detection and the sets a fault followed by shutting down ABS. My guess is that you have a current draw which is shut off when the ABS code is set. With the shut-off of ABS there is more power available to the other circuits. You need to have someone pull the OBD-II codes. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. Have the codes pulled and then let this thread know what they are. Lots of knowledgable folks here including some of Hondas best mechanics.......best of all it is free.
