acceleration lag

Thumbs up acceleration lag

HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!! my s2000 is a 2000. when starting from 1st or when ever im below 2k pms and i give it gas it has a huge lag for about a sec or two and bogs down. even if im at 6k rpms and floor it it bogs and makes a low pitch hum until it picks up again. also my check engine light comes on when i first start my car but it goes away after 5sec. i dunno what going on with it and i hope you guys can give me some advice. thanks

Yeah...no bumping after waiting only 15min. This isn't Honda Customer Service.

Based on your sig...sounds like you have a few mods. List off the engine & drivetrain mods.

It may be your MAP sensor...your mods may impact that guess.

Possible throttle position sensor. If the computer does not know you are opening the throttle it will not be able to know to increase the amount of fuel injected into the engine.

ill list mods but the problem pretty much goes away if i turn off the ac. when this problem was occuring i had the ac on full blast... is there any way to stop this from happening?

Well having your ac on saps some power from the engine. It's definitely noticeable.

Well...with all those engine mods it is going to be really tough to diagnose.

I didn't see you mention what you use for engine management. AEM EMS?

What are you seeing with the AFRs when this happens? Any change in EGT?

I would bring it to your tuner and take a look at the data logs.

i bet it's the ALTINATOR, our cars should use an object known as an "alternator"

seriously though, since you're FI, i would post in that forum, but with better grammar/spelling

AS FAR AS THE A/C GOES:

when you go WOT, the car should automatically be putting the A/C on "hold" (for lack of a better word) to give your engine full power
