Default Adjustable ride height?

I was checking out the NSX forums and came across this product. IF I keep my car, I think I'm gonna try it out. If anyone else decides to try it, let us all know how it works out!!

very misleading, if you +/- your ride height the steering geometry changes(toe, camber, etc)

maybe a good idea for show car

Every time the ride height of a car is changed, the alignment changes and the car MUST be realigned to handle properly. They CLAIM that the change in ride height does not affect handling, but how can this be?

Looks like more than a little BS to me.

The claim that it does not affect handling/geometry is based on the intention that the vehicle is only driven when fully lowered ("deflated"). The vehicle should only be raised ("inflated") and driven for short distances (clearing speedbumps, driveways, etc).

"Will not effect the handling of your vehicle."

A flat out lie. As mentioned above, your alignment will be WAY off every time you make a height change.

i see what you are saying but correct me if i am wrong, if you are slammed to the ground and need that to clear bump and dips, you are way too low anyway.

most of the people slammed with 1000+ dollar coilover will run a slower time than stock, you just can't get away with that much ride height without extensive changes to the suspension geometry. not saying it can't be done, alot of race prep s2k is very very low but they will not see a dip, speed bump or uneven surface that we have to endure every day.

i still haveing doubt about that thing

Hello this is Ravi I am the owner of Umbrella A.D. and the variable ride height suspension system is my patent pending product. I have read some of the opinions of my product from some less informed members of your forum and would like to shed some light on the actual properties and function of my suspension system.

First of all my product absolutely will not affect the handling of your vehicle. at set ride height.

The way my device functions is as follows...

The device is installed directly below the upper bearing plate(pillow ball) of any coilover strut.

This device works to counteract the droop in every suspension system

The piston is constructed 100% aluminum and in the collapsed state is unrecognizable to your coilover as it acts merely as a spacer.(metal on metal)

Vehicle must be aligned at desired ride height(lowest desired ride height)

When air is introduced into the device the vehicle is raised 3"-5" depending on droop allowed by coilover manufacturer.

At this point alignment is TEMPORARILY compromised inorder to clear obstacles

When air is released from the device vehicle is lowered and original alignment specs are once again attained. Just as if the vehicle was jacked up and then lowered again.....original alignment
specs are not lost.

ALSO:
This device will work with any coilover suspension system.

I hope this clears up some misconceptions about my product. I am eager to do an S2000 fitment.
Feel free to get in touch with anymore questions.

Thanks

Ravi
