It is certainly true that the valves being too tight IS more risky than having them too loose. That is why Honda specs them so loose with a 100K service interval. I adjust mine more often BECAUSE I adjust them tighter.

I was not really shooting for anything while making the adjustments. I just got a little careless and did it accidentally. Whe're all human here. Sometimes even honda techs make mistakes. Sometimes.
