Default AEM V2 installed! Any Suggestions?

Ok just got my AEM V2 on there. I used the bypass part also (to block water). I used AEM's directions to get it all on there and its working great.

Anyone that has this intake have an recommendations?

*I'd appreciate it if you refrain from flaming this intake. I know lots of people dont like it and will tell me im an idiot and recommend I throw it away and buy a J's or a Mugen.*

makes good power

I want it for myself !

JDM intakes are over rated, but they dont have a hydrolock problem like the AEM.

I'd still rather have a AEM over the JDM bling !

idk... tips etc...

i had the vaccum hoses backwards and it made funny noises (i fixed them)

my questions were about some other v2's ive seen.

i saw someone took some of the hoses off and put breather valves on there instead... like the little ones you get from advanced auto parts etc... idk if it helps or not... lol

i just installed mine yesterday too.

im getting dyno'd tomarrow to see what kind of gains it yields.

besides driving in rain or puddles, do you haveto watch out when washing the car? dose water drip right onto the filter?

One way to hydrolock is to drive through a 4ft deep puddle and completely sumerge the filter. From what I understand is alot of people with the aem etc could possibly have problems from an excessive amount of water (rain) dripping down between the fender and soaking the filter due to the way the filter sits. U can make ur own shield or get one off ebay to help prevent this problem

na, its pretty protected under the headlight... is so, just dont drive it right off the bat... wait a few minutes.

i bought the bypass valve from aem also... it supposed to help prevent water...
