ok see that vin number sticker right by the silver bolt for the front bumper

now see that hole right above it

thats the hole that needs to be covered up

You don't have to worry about hydrolock unless you are forging through a huge puddle or you are in very very extreme rain fall. Also do not let the filter get water soaked. If it does just let it dry out before you start her up. Small amounts of water that do get sucked up in the intake are evaporated by the time they get to the engine. Our engine is running pretty hot you know

I have had the AEM V2 for over a year now and no problems. I live in the NW too where it rains a lot

ah, that little vag hole. ill make a small rubber plug for that. what do you guys use to clean the filter?

very nice description of it

I dunno if it's breaking a rule, but a K&N recharge kit.

k&n makes a nice recharge kit for the filter... tis bamf... did a great job on my old one.

ONLY use that if the filter was a redish color when you bought it. AEM has a new type filter out that is grey... dont use the k&N stuff on that filter
