Arrow AEM V2 for MY06 S2000

So, Honda made some changes to the intake system on the MY06 S2000. Because of these changes, it looks like the current AEM V2 is incompatible unless you make some modifications.

Hopefully AEM will make a V2 specific for MY06s...

The 2 changes on the 06 are a relocated IAT sensor, and removed airpump inlet fitting.

Plug the fittting, drill a hole for the IAT and any intake will work.

Thanks for providing the correct terminology.

When you drill a whole for the IAT, do you have to make a "bung"?

you need to use a rubber grommet to mount the IAT in. You may be able to remove the factory grommet from the stock air inlet tube. I haven't looked hard enough at a 06's intake tube to tell if the grommet is removeable.

Or I can just wait for AEM to make the correct intake.

Well, if it is going to take that long then I won't be getting it because I am hoping to go FI in no longer than a year from now.

Guess what? Looks like I was right. It has been 8 months and still AEM has not made an intake for MY06 cars.

And the waiting continues ......
