After all of our AEM EMS Headaches...
Hey, you can post your own graph when you step up to the plate, buy an EMS, research, tinker, calibrate, adjust, test drive, adjust, dyno, adjust, dyno, adjust, test drive, adjust, test drive, adjust, dyno, adjust, dyno, and adjust some more. Ham doesn't want to display a graph before he's done tuning the car. There has been alot of pitfalls with the software and they are being worked out 1 by 1. In the next 2 weeks or so he will be finished tuning the car and will be happy to show his dyno results. Until then everyone will have to wait or go buy their own unit and tune it and post graphs all they want.
This thread is worthless. I'm sure 150 shot of NOS is impressive on the car, too, once you get it set up and running reliably. Without telling us anything more than that, the information is utterly worthless.
If you won't post some numbers, or some pitfalls/solutions, then you are simply wasting bandwidth. This is as valuable as AEM's ad on the EMS to begin with.

If you guys don't want to post a graph before you're done tuning, then don't start talking about this shit before you're done tuning. All you're doing is teasing everyone. And your definition of impressive may not fit everyone elses, so that statement continues to be meaningless.
Post some real info. What's going to happen if you post a graph before you're done? Is it going to change your tuning process?

Coming in here and declaring that a mod is "impressive" or "worth it" doesn't mean anything. You can't impose your value system on others, especially without any numbers.
If you say the AFC is "nothing compared to the EMS," I say I care about total HP & Ft-Lb/$ under the curve. The AFC can make about 10 rwhp. At 4X the cost, does the EMS deliver a 40rwhp difference, anywhere on the curve?
R&D: Please re-read this post: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...ht=request+dyno
Everyone here has made statements about how this thread is wasting bandwidth and that it's worthless. Maybe at this point it is. But so are your replies about that w/o a dyno it's BS and what the true meaning of "impressive" is. Looks like your adding to the extra bandwidth.
There are 7 other threads stating that AEM "sucks" and the EMS is a POS. A lot of bashing and make statements about a product they have not seen ;let alone tuned. Many people wanting to know positive results; but, love jumping on the "bash" bandwagon when problems are stated. As far as I know; only 2 people on this board has had the nuts to buy and plug the EMS into their car and try and get some results. All of you other armchair tuners sit back and try and poke holes in every statement made about "impressive" gains. If you got all this $hit figured out to the point where you think you can debate gains just by looking at a graph on a car you know nothing about; then you need to be tuning your car and sharing your results w/ everyone else. Not sitting home at the computer where it's safe and then decide to come out and play once the danger is gone and someone else has lead the way. I'm sure Ham and Wesmaster will be glad to share the results once they're ready.

That's pretty funny that money would be an issue since people are willing to shell out about the same price for a mugen header that makes utterly no difference to a stock car. The main issue here is that we're trying to get AEM to help us out here. We've done so much R&D time and dyno time without their help. They claim that they will front some money for dyno time and that's exactly what we're trying to get them to do. Why let the cat out of the bag when we've put all this effort into it.
The thing works, period. David had to convince more than once why I should keep it before we dyno tuned it. I just couldnt justify spending the money you know? After the first pull, the car to me felt weak, like under 200. When they told me what it really did, I couldnt believe that. My car originally did 212 with the mods I have including the Vafc. This system makes alot more than that and the power band is broad, especially from 5000 on. It's not peaky, just nice and flat.
