Default AFTER header install- V-TEC transition not as noticable. WHY?

I just installed my SPOON header and now I noticed when I V-TEC; the transition is not as noticable as it was before. Is there something wrong or did the header fill in some midrange and now the hp/tq jump at V-TEC not as high as it was? Any information or opinions are welcome.

Glad you got it on. Last time I talked to Dean, he mentioned you might be wanting us to do the work. Wish we could have dynoed a before and after. Stop by when you can.

You might be loosing mid-range torque with the spoon header. I think it is designed for top-end power.

R&D,
Yea, I finally got it on. What a pain in the a$$! I wish I had just let ya'll do the work. Do you have a dyno? I'd like to see where I am with my mods before I turbo/SC.
4373,
The braking is better with the extra traction. I don't see a difference in acceleration except for the extra traction. I ran several other S2000 with the same mods(none had a header including me) and I pulled on them everytime.
mingster,
I think your right. The car does feel overall stronger. I know I haven't lost any power like RandyP stated. I just thought that was weird that the v-tec surge was less noticable. Spoon kicks a$$.

So your HRE's are black centers....local guy stopped in this morning to tell us about his encounter with you...LOL. Give me a call next week or stop in when you can. Also, watch out for a few hatchbacks around here. You are a marked man, now! LOL. Have a good weekend!

take a look at my car's power curve on a dyno:

So we have two people with spoon headers with less of a VTEC bump. Mingster, you have to show a dyno with before/after the spoon header to know if you are loosing mid-range power or gaining mid-range power.
