Default The age old vibration from the rear problem

I've got the rear vibration issue, but it is only coming in at 77-85mph. From the many threads on this, I'm guessing it is either the cv bucket problem or a worn cv joint. Has anyone tried these?

Vibration due to a pitted axle bucket can be felt at 20mph. Likely not your problem.

Any solid shaft axle will vibrate worse.

Yup I've had the four wheels rebalanced and the rims checked for run out. All ok.

Bad tire? Can be very difficult to check. Slight out of round or an internal issue.

Easiest way to rule out would be swap wheels with someone local, see if issue persists.

I've had a friend that kept getting similar vibration from 2 different tires that were likely from the same production group that would balance fine, but would cause vibrations on the freeway. They ended up giving him a different set of tires and the vibration was gone.

I had a set of Michelin PS 4 fitted, after a few thousand Kilometers i noticed vibrations from the rear around 120 - 140 Km/h. / 75 - 86 MPH. Had the tires balanced again and the problem was completly gone.
Maybe a wheel wheigt was lost over time, i dont know.
