Default Air filter needs to be changed

OEM air filter for $26 or K&N washable for twice that price.

OR... a K&N intake with filter for $300, but I don't want to spend that money.

If you don't want to buy the FIPK, go with the K&N drop-in filter. But you should totally buy the FIPK, lol. They come up used on here frequently for cheap; I have one I am about to sell but I think it is already sold/reserved by a local.

Edit - Also, Mexican FTW. Either way, you'll be on the toilet at work by 2:00 PM.

And how do you know the air filter is restrictive?

If you had one of these you would know how much restriction the air filter made.

I don't go by miles, I let this gauge tell me when to change the air filter.

Here is a site that tells you how it works
http://www.cleggind.com/postal_tech/filterminder.htm

I got mine from Summit for $15
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIX-24801/

Or if you like to spend more money for the same thing, here's one from K&N
