air flow sensor

If it was from a body shop, I wouldn't take any stock in it actually being the MAP sensor. More likely a loose gas cap or something silly. Ask them for the CEL code that made them think MAP.

my search function still isn't working....

where is the backup fuse for the cel located? is it under the dash or in the engine compartment?

Mass Air Flow Sensor: S2000 does not have one.

nevermind guys, i found it under the diy section...thats a wondeful thing.

thanks for all the help, i'm gonna try to clean this tomorrow and reset the ecu.

its been a crazy couple of days.....

so i did the map "whack" and pulled the cel fuse....the check engine light is still on. so i called the dealer and they told me that it read yesterday that the "air flow sensor" (i'm assumimg the map sensor) was bad.

and yes...it's $459.00 to replace!!!!!!!!! WTF?

they are checking to see if its covered under cpo warranty....i'm not holding my breath.

try cleaning the map sensor and the whole in which it is placed, could be a bit dirty

i did...the light is still on.

the dealer is replacing it tomorrow under cpo warranty...glad i spent the extra money for the cpo car.

turned out the car threw the code P1172...air fuel sensor.

part number 36531-PZX-013.

it was replaced under warranty thank god. so it wasn't the map sensor after all. although it had all the symptoms of teh a bad map sensor.

by the way, there is a tsb on this for all 2006 and 2007's with vin #'s 0001-1055.

has something to do with moisture in the exhaust system...

found it on another s2ki members post...i don't know how to link it.
