Hey i have a check engine light recently. It came up as blink code 60. well anyways when i start my car in the morning i can hear the air pump click and a high pitch noise for about 5 seconds and then it shuts off. does that mean its defective?

 

I'm confused on blink code 60.

That is how your air pump works when the car is cold. You can hear it start up and run for a few seconds when it is started cold. If you car is already warm it will not come on since it is emissions related.

So what CEL code do you have? P0411?

 

P041# 6 - 0 --------------- AIR PUMP

when i do the paper clip jumper i get 6 long flashes

 

I'll have to look it up. Maybe someone else can chime in. I don't remember the cause of that one off the top of my head.
