Air pump acting weird

Default Air pump acting weird
When I start my car it does everything normal. Right after the air pump shuts off it comes back on again then cuts off after a second or two. What could it be?

It could be that the air pump is cycling on and off .

It's normal.

Normal. It's the PCM doing the air pump function check.

Whew... I don't know why but it seems to have only done it lately. Perhaps I just never noticed. I always thought after it cut off the first time that was it. Thanks guys

hmmm, funny, i have the same thing. runs for a bit, cuts off, then comes right back on for just a couple seconds.

I think this sound is really cool.... I wish that it was OK to put this pump on a switch and turn it off and on as you please.

Ah, so the air pump is that motor-sounding event that comes on as you start the car, then turns off after a while? Interesting.
