Default air pump/CEL

my air pump is not working right now, so the CEL is on.
I herd that if the CEL is on, the car does not perform as well.
Is this true or not? Please help.

It would seem that is what has been reported. Read a few of the posts in here:

on this CEL (P0410 or P0411), it won't change your performance any. the ECU won't go into limp mode

Same problem here--Air Pump not working and CEL on. Just received a call from the Honda dealership with a pricetag of $757.46 plus tax to replace it. Bummer in that I've got a whole 8,000 miles on her.

it would be putting out too much or too little pressure, or a valve is stuck, etc. giving us the OBD-2 error code would help.

bringit319 the dealer should replace it under warranty unless you got hit in that corner of the car
