Default AIR PUMP PROBLEMS

HI I HAVE QUESTION WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF AIR PUMP ASSY? ITS POSSIBLE USE THE CAR WITH OUT THIS AIR PUMP? I ORDER NEW ONE BUT DEALER TAKES 1 WEEK TO GET THE PUMP?
DO YOU HAVE IDEA WHAT HAPPEND IF I USE THE CAR WITHOUT THIS AIR PUMP?

WHAT CAN I DO?

The air pump only works for a few seconds to a few minutes after the engine is started. It injects air into the exhaust manifold to help complete the combustion process during that initial warm up phase so that the catalytic converter works more efficiently. If you have not pump, your emissions will be higher.

ps. TURN YOUR CAPS LOCKS OFF!

oh i can use the car when i recive the pump i can install without problems ? thanks buddy

Yes, but your CEL will be on for the airpump and possibly for the cat function as the exhaust in the first few minutes will be quite "dirty".

ok understand but my question is i can use without risk of damage other parts of my engine?

Yes, I figured since I told you that the air gets injected into the exhaust manifold, that only stuff downstream of this will be affected (cat.).
