Default Alignment and Corner Balancing

Hi, so i originally planned on going to West End Alignment in southern California. I went once before and i liked that he didn't ask me what i wanted in numbers but instead asked what i wanted to use the car for. I told him i wanted an aggressive street setup and thats what he set it up for. I don't think i'll be going, and now am worried about explaining what i want.

Could some one give me a little crash course on what to ask for? Ive seen numerous "set-ups" and all those numbers confuse me. My car is my DD, so i want an aggressive street setup. I want grip but also would like to preserve my tires as much as possible.

Thank You

this will be hard to accomplish. if you want an "aggressive street setup" you will have to compensate with tire life.

if you wanted to preserve your tire life as much as possible, oem alignment is fine. if you want an aggressive street setup, most people go with the uk alignment.

Not sure I understand what you mean by this question, but I'll try to answer.

Once you get the setting that you want, the camber setting stays at that setting. Of course after some time it will change due to hitting potholes and such, but theoretically, it should stay there without moving.

What you're asking for is what the post above says... stick with the UK alignment.

Right now I have 1.5F and 2.25R and my rears wore out pretty quickly. Not too fast, but much faster compared to the stock alignment.

And as far as corner balancing... I would like to know more myself.

Not sure our car really needs it cause it's already 50/50 weight distribution, but I guess there's some error with that that could be corrected.

Probably won't notice much of a difference in our cars though.
