Alignment issues
Alright, so here's the deal. Almost a year ago I was involved in a fairly severe wreck. It was me vs 18 wheeler. He cut me off, I tried to avoid him but at the time had bald fuzion zri tires, and i ended up hitting a curb. I had liability at the time and when insurance fought it out, it just went neutral and nothing came out of it, so i had to cover the expenses out of my own pocket.
Here's a photo

here's a copy of an invoice of what parts a shop told me need to be replaced

of course once i saw that insurance wouldn't cover it, i took it out of there and just bought the parts on my own along with a couple of junkyard parts.
the most major part of the wreck was the fact that almost the whole driver side rear suspension was torn apart and ripped up, which was eventually replaced with parts from the junkyard. everything seemed fine, then i picked up a set of ce28's. this is where the issues started.
took the car to get it aligned, they managed to get it to -1.8 for the rear which was pretty amazing considering the drop. on the way home, i was taking an exit ramp on the freeway, and i noticed when i would hit bumps, the passenger rear tire would rub on the fender. took it back to the alignment shop, they told me camber is still correctly set on there, but the passenger rear rim sticks out more for some reason, where as the driver side rear is normal. he went ahead and rolled in the fenders a bit on the passenger rear and i never had any issues, other than it sticking out a bit more than the other side.
last night, i ended up getting some flared fenders installed in the front, so i decided to go a bit lower, and now the fact that the wheel sticks out is VERY noticeable as opposed to before. It almost seems like the left side is at -2 camber, while the right side is at -3+ camber. I took it to a friends shop to check to see if anything under the chassis might be bent, but i'm really not all that technical inclined so i didn't notice anything that looked out of the ordinary, other than the wheel looking a lot more cambered and it sticking out far more than the other side.
the weird thing is that, when i raised the car, the driver side rear camber seemed like it leveled out, where as the passenger side rear stayed fairly the same.
i've included some photo's of the car on the lift to see if any of you techies can notice anything out of the ordinary. unfortunately the odd looking camber/positioning isn't as noticeable in these pics, i'll have to take some during the day, but basically, if you're following me from behind, it looks as if my wheel is sticking out at an angle trying to trip someone walking by. please excuse the dirtyness of the car and the fudged up rear bumper, i'm still in the process of getting everything back together

i'm gonna be taking it to a collision shop soon to see what they say, but figured i'd ask here to see if you guys have any suggestions or anything i can tell the guy at the shop to look for. he's a good friend of the guy that let me borrow his lift, so hopefully he'll take his time in looking everything over. the only odd thing is that the car drives completely straight, the rim spins freely without any wobble, no weird noises, and the tire wear is very even on both sides.

well, let us know what the collission shop says.
i'd assume they will be taking measurements of the suspension components, control arm, toe arm, etc.
perhaps the suspension components you bought at the junkyard were bent - since they did come from a junkyard.

edit: any bushing in particular to look at?
I dropped off the car at the collision shop last night, they went ahead and looked at it today. They said the frame is bent in a certain spot that's causing the suspension to do that. $225 in frame labor and it should be fixed, then I just have to go get an alignment and I'll be good to go, or at least I hope so. If they find anything else that needs to be replaced/fixed, they'll let me know before doing anything. My guess is there might be a few other small yet costly issues but we'll see.

I had the same type of accident (sideways curb collision) and did get minor frame damage. After replacing a significant amount of parts to the rear, all my tires align properly. However, my passenger rear tire doesn't seem to sit the same way as the driver's side, even though the alignment is good. I can definitely feel the frame flex more when cornering, especially with left turns. The shop said they got the frame back to within specs and replaced the rear subframe as well. I wish I had the car totalled out.
Any frame damage to our cars, and it should be thrown away. Experience has led me to believe that although it is theoretically acheivable to return the frame to stock, most people don't have access to anyone that has the skill and ability to do it.

Did you ever get your frame straightened after the wreck? They'll do mine tomorrow, and it should be done in the afternoon since they're closed today. Anxious to see if it'll solve any issues.
