Default Are all rocker arms and shafts the same?

Hello, is there any difference between all of the rocker arms and shafts? As in exhaust vs intake. I know the rocker shaft holders are numbered, but im putting together a whole assembly and want to know if it matters where they go (they were all in a bag together and not marked). Thanks

You'll have guys on here that say they are a matched set and never to mixed them up, yada yada...Same people that say milling a head the worst thing ever.

While it isn't the optimum course of action. There is nothing wrong with mixing rocker arms/pins. I have done it MANY times when trying to piece together a rocker arm set that has good bearings on each rocker. I would highly suggest you clean the rocker arms completely and feel the rotation of the needle bearings. The only way to get an accurate feel is to make sure all the oil has been clean out by way of parts cleaner bath or brake clean, whatever works for cleaning the oil out of them.

Alright, im putting together the sets. I’ve noticed that all of the bearing in the small rocker arm are stuck inside. (Not the middle and not the spring one, but the short bearing). Is that a problem?

one rocker arm in each set has a non removable pin. No needle bearings should be able to be removed. Slide the vtec pins out and feel the rotation of the needle bearing that is in the rocker arm. If you feel any notchiness replace that rocker with one that has a smoother bearing feel.

Sorry got confused and didn’t explain myself well. What I meant is that some of the shorter pins (the left ones) are stuck inside, while some slide out like this one
